Amongst her other duties, Nicole interfaces with clients’ families and insurance companies to ensure impeccable communications between them. The thing that she likes most about her work is being part of a team that supports the transformation from addiction to recovery. Nicole has a real passion for her role on the team at Vista Taos.

Amanda Merrill

ADMISSION SPECIALIST

Raised in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico, Amanda grew up with an appreciation for the sacred healing power found in the vistas of Northern New Mexico. It was here that she developed a passion for helping others reach their full potential through guidance and mentoring.

She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a dual-B.A. in psychology and philosophy, and she has since traveled the United States mentoring others in their professional and personal growth. In addition to first-hand experience with addiction, Amanda brings both a clinical and a marketing background to her position as Admission Specialist.

As the first point of contact for many of our clients, Amanda provides a knowledgeable, compassionate, and sincere voice on what is often the most difficult call anyone struggling with addiction can make. She is empathetic to our clients experiences before they reach our doors, and she is eager to make the journey as streamlined as possible.

Tiffany Berger BSN, RN

DIRECTOR OF NURSING

Tiffany has lived here in beautiful Taos NM for 15 years. Being a staunch social justice advocate, she thought there was no better avenue towards working with her community than through nursing. She received her associate and bachelor’s degree in nursing through a dual degree program offered at the University of New Mexico-Taos. Addiction nursing became of interest to her during a clinical experience here at Vista Taos Renewal Center. After gaining experience in the hospital setting, she was eager to join the Vista team. Tiffany has also studied plant medicine for 20 years and has a balanced perspective between nontraditional healing modalities and Western medicine. She is passionate about helping people find stronger versions of themselves. Bearing witness to the positive transformations helps to fuel her dedication to her community. Her current role includes overseeing RNs and Recovery Advocates with the delivery of quality patient care in a supportive and empathic manner. She’s also responsible for ensuring Vista Taos Renewal Center provides the highest level of patient safety in an environment that is also safe and supportive to staff.
