Colorado Teen with New Mexico Ties Killed by Drunk Driver

An Alamosa Colorado Pastor is grieving the loss of his teen daughter and two others who were killed by a drunk driver in the last week of April 2012. The teens were driving together on a church trip when they were hit. The family is originally from Las Vegas, but they had a church recently in Mora, New Mexico.

The Pastor’s daughter, Anisa Montoya was just 18 years old with her whole life ahead of her. Now alcohol addiction has cost her her life. She was a prominent young woman, always helping those in need in her community. Her and her friends were killed in Pueblo, Colorado.

A 36-year old man named Gilbert Sanchez was drinking and driving. It is believed he was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light, smashing into the girls’ small car. Sanchez has been arrested and is facing multiple charges: DUI, vehicular homicide and more.
